And unfortunately, there hasn’t been any guidebook. Until now.

But you are in a period of transition. Call it what you want. You’re experiencing a becoming. An awakening. A graduation, of sorts.

Good news: you’re not having a midlife crisis!

You may think you’re having a midlife crisis. Or you write it off as the culmination of years living with overwhelm, burn-out and stress. Or you may believe you’re going crazy.

What they didn’t tell you is that there will come a time in your life when you find yourself wondering “IS THIS IT?”

You climbed the corporate ladder and once you reached the top, you looked around and realized you didn’t like the view.

You’re at the point in their life when you should be the happiest and most fulfilled, and you find yourself asking big questions.

School of Midlife is an 8-week group coaching program designed for high-achieving women who have been crushing it in their professional life — whether that’s as the CEO of their company or their household — but feel adrift or stuck in their personal life.

School of midlife?

What is

You’ve run big companies and held important jobs. If this was like anything else, you’d just double-down on finding the solution, and throw more time and resources at the problem. But this one is different. You’ve tried to work yourself out of this funk, and it’s not working. You’re just making yourself feel more burned out, overwhelmed and stressed out. And so.dang.tired.

Were You Voted MOST LIKELY TO BECOME PRESIDENT, and Now You’re Wondering: “Why Can’t I Figure This Out or Work My Way Out of This Funk?”

You have everything you’ve ever wanted…and it’s not enough. You may be feeling a little guilty. You already have so much, so who are you to want for more? By all outward appearances, you’re living the perfect life. You may be wondering why can’t I just be happy with all that I have?

Were You Voted MOST LIKELY TO OWN A PRIVATE ISLAND, and Now You’re Questioning: “Who Am I to Want for More?”

You’ve followed the corporate ladder success playbook to a T: earned a degree, got a job, bought a house, got married, had kids and raised them up, worked your way up the ranks. You’ve done everything you were ever asked to do. You’ve accomplished all the things, so why do you feel so unsure of what’s next? And why do you feel so dang unfulfilled?

Were You Voted MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED, and Now You’re Asking Yourself: “I’ve Worked My Ass Off for This??”

Is Private School more your speed?? There’s an VIP option that includes everything above PLUS two 60-minute 1:1 coaching sessions with Laurie!

What you’ll get:

It’s a course to figure out who you are, what you actually want, and what matters most in this season of life.

School of Midlife is for high-achieving women who, up until now, have been focused on their career and their family.

To have a clear understanding of how to make midlife your best life.

To be unapologetically you instead of the person everyone else expects you to be. The you who gives no f*cks. The you who no longer apologizes for doing what’s important to you…even if it’s inconvenient for those around you.

To feel grounded and settled in knowing who you are, and living as authentically you, instead of trying to keep up appearances.

To know what you want and have a clear path to get it.

take a peek inside...

But when I left the law, I discovered there was no road map to figure out what was next. I’d literally quit the job I’d been working my whole life to get. And while you can Google a lot of advice and “how to’s,” there is nothing for midlife women looking to live a more fulfilling life. I know; I tried. And when I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I created it.

Act III Coaching is the go-to place for high-achieving midlife women who are ready to figure out what it is they actually want in life, redefine what success means to them, and start satisfying their own needs first before the needs of others. I know this works because it is the exact I’m on a mission to help women everywhere make midlife their best life.

Two weeks later, I withdrew my name from consideration for partner, and I left the practice of law.

Truth is: my job wasn’t going to change in any meaningful way. Sure, my business card would now read “Partner,” the title I’d been working my entire career for! I’d also be making more money. But what wouldn’t change? The fact that I didn’t like the person I was becoming — more angry and combative to succeed in the contentious, male-dominated world of commercial real estate law. And I was tired of suffering through a case of “The Sundays” every week.

“How will your job change if you are lucky enough to be invited to join the partnership?”

I’m a recovering attorney, a former box-checker, people-pleaser and achievement junkie. Over my 20-year legal career, I worked in-house at a national corporation, was a partner in a small boutique firm, and even owned my own firm at one point. When I was on the verge of joining the partnership of a large regional firm, I was asked a question that changed everything for me:

I’m Laurie.

Plan on committing 3-4 hours weekly during the 8-week course: 1 hour to attend the weekly coaching sessions, and another 2-3 to complete the weekly exercises. Keep in mind that each weekly module builds on the last. You’ll get more out of the School of Midlife if you complete, reflect on and implement each week’s module before moving on to the next module.

The School of Midlife is built for midlife women looking for more clarity and fulfillment in their lives. “Midlife” has historically been defined as women in their 40’s to 60’s, or when they are “halfway” through a typical life. However, I’ve found that the “midlife” angst is starting earlier and in some cases, lasting longer.

So the quick answer to the question: you’re not too old. Or too young, for that matter. But the program will serve you best if you have at least some life experience under your belt.

Since most of us went to high school and college before the Internet was a mainstream thing, many of us may have no experience with digital courses. To be honest, I took my first online course in 2019, and wasn’t exactly sure what to expect either.

Let me tell you: I love the digital courses! They’re a modern twist on personal development…that you can work on your own schedule. Since everything is recorded, you can watch the coaching videos and pick up the pre-recorded live sessions when it works for you.

And even better: because you’re working through the materials during your normal life, it’s very easy to see how you can seamlessly and immediately implement what you’re learning. It’s not like going to a weekend conference, where you leave all hyped up and excited to make some life changes, only to have that post-conference buzz wear off as soon as you get home to real life.

Look, I get it. We’re going to cover some vulnerable topics, and you may not feel comfortable sharing some of your private information with strangers on the Internet. Although you’ll get more out of the live sessions if you are able to attend in person, there is no obligation to share anything. There is also no obligation to have your camera on. You do you.

Over the course of the 8-week program, there will be a handful of optional “hot seats.” The hot seats are your opportunity to receive real-time feedback and coaching from Laurie and the rest of the group on a burning issue you’re dealing with or question you’re grappling with. Think of this as your own personal board of directors with deep bench-strength and experience. While the hot seats are incredibly helpful, they are completely optional.

I know how impactful and transformational The School of MidlifeTM is, and I am so excited for you to experience the transformation for yourself! That said, if you’re not satisfied with the program for any reason before the end of Week 4, I will refund your money. You just need to show me that you've actually done the work up until that point. Because if there is one thing I know for sure: there can be no transformation if there is no work first. And anyone who is trying to sell you a change-your-life-quick book with no actual work involved is just trying to sell you a book.
